The commercial port has about 5,450 meters of quays for vessels with up to 10.0 meters draft. These docks are used for grain and cement, but also handle coastal traffic and fishing boats.

The new container terminal is also within the commercial port (Neo Ikonio). It has a total 2,774 meters of quay, offering nine berths with depth alongside ranging from 11.5 to 16 meters and a container storage area of 626,000 square meters.

Piraeus Container Terminal handles 1.4 million teu a year, making it one of the top 10 container facilities in Europe and the top container port in the Eastern Mediterranean. Its operations are a short distance from the centre of Piraeus. Location and facilities combine to ensure the smooth and fast service of mother and feeder ships.

Finally in commercial port there are three Car Terminals that they located at Keratsini area expanded in a total dock length of 1400 m and a total land area of 180.000 sq.m. with five ship accommodation locations and storage capacity of 12.000 cars.
